AMERICAN TRUCK SIMULATOR VS EURO TRUCK SIMULATOR 2 PLUS
And as others have noted above, that familiarity might be a plus to others. That said, it sounds like there's slightly more to do in American Truck Simulator, thanks to the addition of things like weigh stations. are all just a little different in Euro Truck Simulator 2. American Truck Sim is just beginning (and got a slow start because they changed the world scale early on). Having to figure out which side of the road to be on, taking ferries, trying to figure out speed limits, etc. One thing I don't think gets enough credit is that ETS2 will feel foreign to North American players, which I actually think is part of the charm. It's still larger than ATS at the moment, though Arizona is coming and a lot of ETS2's size is due to the addition of Eastern Europe and Scandinavia (I only own the Eastern Europe expansion though).

I haven't played ATS yet but I can tell you that ETS2 is quite lovely. Euro Truck Simulator 2 + American Truck Simulator.
